Privacy policy

This policy covers SC2 Contracting LLC (“SC2 Contracting”, “we”), 5377 State Route N, Suite 556, Cottleville, MO 63304, and this website, sc2contracting.com. It explains what we collect when you use the site, call or text us, or ask for a quote, and what we do with it.

It does not cover work performed under a signed project contract, which has its own terms, or third-party sites we link to (Google, Facebook, Instagram, our electrical partner). Those have their own policies.

What you give us.

• Quote requests: first and last name, phone number, email address, the project address, the type of project, your timeline, your notes, and whether the job may need electrical work.
• SC2 Properties enquiries: your name and contact details, the property's address and condition, and whether you own it, inherited it or are referring it.
• Calls, texts and email: what you tell us when you contact us directly, including photos you send of the space.

What is collected automatically.

• Server logs at our hosting provider (Vercel): IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request. Kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics through Google Analytics, when enabled: pages viewed, how you arrived, device type and approximate location (city level, derived from IP and not stored with it), and events such as a phone-number tap or a form sent. We use Google's IP anonymisation and do not enable advertising features.
• Bot protection through Cloudflare Turnstile, when enabled on our forms: it checks that a form is sent by a person and may read browser signals to do so. It does not track you across sites.
• Referral source: if you arrive from a partner site or an ad, the link may carry a short tag (for example ?ref=fce, campaign tags, or an ad click identifier) so we know where the enquiry came from. It is kept for your visit in your browser's session storage and stored with your enquiry, not in a cookie.

We do not collect payment details through this site, and we do not run advertising pixels or social-media trackers.

• To call, text or email you back about the project you asked about, schedule a walkthrough and send a quote.
• To keep a record of enquiries and the work that followed, for scheduling, coming back to the work if something is wrong, and bookkeeping.
• To understand which pages and services people look for, so the site stays useful.
• To keep the site and forms secure and free of spam.
• To meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' advertising. We share it only with the companies that help us run the site and respond to you, and only for that purpose:

• Art of Vision, the agency that builds and operates this website for us. Enquiries are delivered through its lead system so nothing is lost. It handles them on our instructions, only for this purpose, and never for its own marketing.
• Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (domain and bot protection) and Resend (email delivery of your enquiry to us).
• Google (Analytics, when enabled) under Google's terms. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
• First Choice Electric, our licensed electrical partner, only if you tell us the job may need electrical work. They receive a copy of your request so they can join the walkthrough. They are a separate company with its own privacy policy.
• Suppliers, subcontractors and inspectors for a project you have hired us for, to the extent the job needs it.
• Where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

When you give us a phone number, you are asking us to contact you about your request. We may call or text that number to confirm details, schedule the walkthrough and follow up on the quote. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

We send texts by hand, not through an automated marketing system, and we do not send marketing texts. Reply STOP to any text and we will stop texting that number; reply HELP or call (636) 448-7766 for help. Your consent to be texted is not a condition of getting a quote: say “call only” or “email only” in your request and we will.

The site itself sets no cookies to identify you. Google Analytics, when enabled, sets its own cookies (_ga and similar) to tell returning visitors from new ones; they expire after up to two years and hold a random identifier, not your name. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie to remember that you passed its check.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site, the forms and the phone links work without them.

• Enquiries that do not become a project: up to two years, so we can follow up if you come back, then deleted on request or when we tidy records.
• Projects we perform: for as long as we may need to come back to the work, and as long as Missouri tax and business record rules require, normally seven years after the project closes.
• Server logs: days to weeks. Analytics: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct it;
• delete it, unless we have to keep it for a project record or a legal reason, in which case we will tell you;
• stop contacting you.

Call or text (636) 448-7766, or write to us at the address below. We will confirm who you are before changing or releasing anything, and we aim to answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries travel encrypted to our email and lead system, which are protected by login. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is perfectly secure, so if you would rather not send something through the form, call us.

This site is for homeowners and property owners and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has sent us something, call us and we will delete it.

Reviews shown on this site are reproduced from our Google Business Profile and Facebook page as the customers wrote them. They are those customers' words and those platforms' content; if you wrote one and want it changed or removed, do that on the platform and it will update here.

Links to Google, Facebook, Instagram, First Choice Electric and other sites take you to companies we do not control. Their policies apply once you leave.

When we change how the site handles information (for example, if we add a tool), we update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
